Fifty Seven is a traditional Victorian Town House which has been lovingly restored to offer couples and small families a comfortable, relaxing base for those wishing to explore the beautiful Isle of Wight. Quietly situated in the heart of Cowes, it is a short, easy walk to the vibrant town centre where you can enjoy some of the many sailing and other events, which occur throughout summer and beyond.
Our Victorian Town House has been lovingly renovated and restored to a high standard and with great attention to detail, featuring Laura Ashley décor and period furniture throughout.
Turn right and follow the short road along to the chain ferry.
A return tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine by the ferry for £1.00.
Once across the river, follow Medina road and take the first right hand turning, walking straight along Birmingham Road. At the Chandlers shop on the left, you will turn left onto Beckford Road and you will then find us on the right towards the top of the road.
Once off the ferry you need to drive across the island, straight on and when the road forks you need to take the right hand folk this will be sign posted to the town centre then it is very easy as you will follow the signs on the road to the chain ferry.
Aboard the chain ferry it is £2.20 for single trip for vehicles to be paid by cash on board.
Once across the river, follow Medina road, taking the third road on the right Consort Road then you will be on Beckford Road turn left we are on the right hand side on the road towards the top.
From the Red Jet
(for foot passengers only) Walk through the arcade onto Cowes Hight Street. Turn left and follow the road all the way until you reach Beckford Road to your right this is after Sainsbury’s and when the chandlers is in front of you. Turn right onto Beckford Road and we are on the right towards the top of the road. Use this opportunity to have a look at the many restaurants, shops and pubs which line the High Street.
